Our Mission
Nola Kitten Nursery provides specialized care for orphaned mammals who are too small, sick, or unique to survive alone in a shelter or in their natural environment. Our nursery is built on compassion for animals and people alike.

Carley Self founded NKN in 2019. She is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and neonatal-care specialist who has been rescuing animals since 2016. She is a professional livestreamer who leverages live streams to support rescue efforts and educate the public on the day to day of animal rescue. She is also a mom of three, and an advocate for mental health in the animal-care community.

Lyndsay has been a foster mom for many years. She started working with NKN in 2023 and helps tackle the day to day operations and fundraising efforts. She is a mom of two and a huge fan of Diet Coke.
